WELCOME TO RIVER CAMP FOR KIDS
WHERE SCIENCE, NATURE AND FUN MEET!

River Camp for Kids provides exciting and enriching learning experiences for your child, with programs for children ages 4-13. The Rivers Institute offers weeklong camps each summer with morning, afternoon, and all-day options.

These fun outdoor camps offer kids a wide variety of activities that take advantage of the Hanover College campus and facilities.

The Rivers Institute must have a completed form on file for each camper.

 

INFORMATION & GUIDELINES

 

THINGS TO BRING & ATTIRE
Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle, scunscreen, insect repellent, and hat.

2013 CAMP SCHEDULE

For Tadpoles (Ages 4-5), Minnows (Ages 6-7), Sunfish (Ages 8-10)

Each week will offer unique programming with games, activities, nature trail hikes, arts & crafts, literature, music, theatre, and drawing. Each day of the week will focus on these themes:

  • Buggy Monday
  • Dino-mite Tuesday
  • Wildlife Wednesday
  • Take Flight Thursday
  • Floating Friday

For Adventure Campers (Ages 11-13)

Get ready to explore the woodlands and hiking trails. Learn the basics of orienteering, trail designations, and backpacking. Complete a geo-cache and scavenger hunt by finding clues, working through puzzles and riddles. Finish the week by solving your own outdoor science mystery!
