The Twenty-fifth Annual Scientific Conference of the Ohio River Basin Consortium for Research and Education (ORBCRE) will be hosted by the Rivers Institute at Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana. The theme for the symposium will be Making Connections: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Ohio River. Sessions for the conference will cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to historical perspectives, water quality and quantity, watershed management, human effects on water quality, water issues in the Ohio River and its tributaries, education and outreach, citizen monitoring and restoration. We encourage submissions from the social sciences, arts and humanities, as well as the natural sciences. Of particular interest in 2009 are papers that have an interdisciplinary perspective.

All abstracts should include an informative title, list of authors, and an abstract text (word limit of text is 500). Please include email addresses, post addresses, and phone numbers of all authors and indicate the contact person. Indicate your preference for ORAL or POSTER presentation. Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length. Posters will have a dedicated session as well as be available for viewing during all scheduled breaks and meals.
